Making a splash at the Grande Cache 50th
2019 marked the 50th Anniversary of Grande Cache. To celebrate, an entire weekend of festivities was planned for Canada Day Weekend. Over 850 people attended, including previous Grande Cache residents from as far as Nova Scotia and Alabama. Events started late Friday afternoon and carried on until Sunday evening.

Caribou Patrol took full advantage of the crowds during Saturday’s full day of events. Setting up their display at the Grande Cache Arena, Caribou Patrol had the opportunity to speak to 241 people about woodland caribou conservation. Caribou Patrol handed out swag and over 40 Edukits and AWN caribou brochures.
Atih makes his Grande Cache debut
Atih, Caribou Patrol’s life size caribou model, was also onsite for pictures and selfies. He was a hit with kids and adults alike.
